Terms of Service

The basic rules for working with Tint Spot โ€” quotes, warranty, scheduling, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Last updated: 2026-05-04

1. Quotes & estimates

Online configurator estimates are good-faith estimates. Final pricing is confirmed in person after we inspect your vehicle. Aftermarket modifications, unusual glass, prior damage, or removal of existing tint may affect the final price. We will always confirm before starting work.

2. Appointments & deposits

Most jobs do not require a deposit. Tesla, full PPF, and any job over $1,500 require a 25% non-refundable deposit to hold the appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice forfeit the deposit.

3. Warranty

Lifetime warranty applies to ceramic films and covers bubbling, peeling, fading, and cracking under normal use. Warranty is transferable to subsequent owners with proof of original install. Warranty does NOT cover:

  • Damage from accidents, vandalism, or rolling windows down during cure period
  • Damage from abrasive cleaning products
  • Glass replacement (we'll re-tint the new glass at cost)
  • Pre-existing glass defects

4. Cure period

Do not roll your windows down for 3โ€“5 days after install. Slight haze, water bubbles, or specks during the cure period are normal and will disappear. If you roll the windows down too early and the film peels, this is not covered under warranty.

5. Removal of prior tint

We can remove existing tint at $50โ€“$150 per vehicle. Older tint with degraded adhesive may require additional time and may incur extra fees. We always quote removal before performing it.

6. Liability

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to your vehicle, including (but not limited to) chipped glass, broken trim, defective defroster grids, or interior wear. We document your vehicle's condition at intake and will flag any pre-existing issues before starting work.

7. Disputes

If something goes wrong, call the shop. We've never had a customer leave unhappy who actually called us first. Formal disputes are governed by California law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at top reflects current version.

For specific questions, contact us or call either shop.
