Badge & emblem blackout

BMW · Mercedes · Audi logo blackout

Black out the chrome badge on your front grille, rear trunk, and steering wheel. Premium 3M / Avery vinyl. Gloss, satin, or matte. Fully reversible.

The chrome BMW roundel, Mercedes 3-pointed star, or Audi rings on every modern luxury car kill an otherwise clean murdered-out look. We wrap them in premium automotive vinyl — same material 3M uses for full car wraps — so they go from chrome to glass-smooth black. Clean install, no damage, fully reversible.

What we black out

  • Front grille emblem — BMW roundel, Mercedes star, Audi rings, etc.
  • Rear trunk badge — model logo + manufacturer emblem
  • Steering wheel badge — center cap matched to exterior
  • Side fender model badges — M3, AMG, RS, etc. (smoked or removed)
  • Wheel center caps — match the rest of the build

Finish options

  • Gloss black — Sharp, deep, matches glossy paint
  • Satin black — In between, hides fingerprints, current sleeper-luxury look
  • Matte black — Stealth, OEM-modern look (most popular for M / AMG)
  • Custom colors — Gold, red, blue, chrome, etc. for show builds

If you want full chrome delete — window trim, mirror caps, grille surround — see our chrome delete service.

Pricing: Single emblem: $79. Front + rear pair: $129. Front + rear + wheel + steering: $249. All badges (full blackout): $349.

Common questions

Will it damage my paint or chrome?

No. We use temperature-rated automotive vinyl designed for OEM finishes. Peels cleanly with heat — no residue, no scratches.

How long does the vinyl last?

5–7 years exterior, indefinitely interior. The grille badge is the most UV-exposed and may need refresh after 3–5 years in LA sun.

Can I do this myself with a cheap badge from Amazon?

Some people swap to aftermarket black badges. Quality varies wildly — the chrome bleeds through cheap paint, fits get loose, and removal can pull paint. Our wrap is reversible and matches finish across the car.

Does it void my warranty?

No — it's a reversible finish change, not a paint modification. The manufacturer cannot reject your service warranty for it.

How long does it take?

30–60 minutes per emblem. Full blackout (all badges) is usually 2–3 hours.
