Premium ceramic film

Ceramic Window Tinting

The serious upgrade for LA summers. Nano-ceramic film stops the heat before it gets in โ€” without going dark, without blocking your phone, without ever fading purple.

Standard dyed tint cools the cabin a little. Ceramic tint actively rejects infrared heat โ€” the part of the sun's energy you actually feel โ€” using a layer of nano-ceramic particles that don't conduct radio signals.

What makes ceramic tint different?

It's not about how dark it looks โ€” it's about what it blocks. Old-school dyed films work by absorbing visible light. Ceramic films work by reflecting and absorbing the invisible infrared and UV spectrum โ€” the part that heats up your dashboard, fades your seats, and makes the cabin feel like a sauna at a red light.

Performance numbers

  • 99% UV rejection โ€” protects skin and interior from cancer-causing UVA/UVB
  • Up to 65% infrared heat rejection โ€” drops cabin temps measurably on hot days
  • Up to 78% Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER) โ€” the most honest single metric
  • Zero signal interference โ€” phone, GPS, satellite radio, toll transponders all work normally
  • Optical clarity โ€” no haze, no purple fade after a few summers
Real-world impact: On a 95ยฐF LA day, a ceramic-tinted black sedan parked in the sun typically registers 15โ€“25ยฐF cooler inside than the same car with no tint. Your AC works less, your phone doesn't overheat on the dash, and the steering wheel doesn't burn your hands.

What VLT % should I pick?

VLT (Visible Light Transmission) is how much light passes through the film. Lower number = darker tint.

  • 5โ€“15% (Limo/Dark) โ€” Maximum privacy, blackout look. Rear windows only on most cars (front is illegal in CA).
  • 20โ€“35% (Standard) โ€” The most popular range. Strong sun protection, still able to see out at night.
  • 50% (Light) โ€” Subtle look, great heat rejection, near-invisible from outside.
  • 70% (CA-Legal Front) โ€” Required by California law on front side windows. Looks almost clear but still rejects heat & UV.

Common questions

How long does ceramic tint last?

Premium ceramic films are warrantied for the life of the vehicle. Real-world: most installs we did 10+ years ago are still on the road, still flawless.

Can I see out at night with ceramic tint?

Yes โ€” ceramic films have much better optical clarity than cheap dyed films. 20% or 35% VLT is fine for night driving. 5% gets challenging in a dark parking lot, but most drivers adjust quickly.

Does ceramic tint block phone signal?

No. Ceramic particles aren't metallic, so they don't interfere with cellular, GPS, satellite radio, or toll transponders. Metallic films (older/cheaper) do block signal.

Will ceramic tint fade or turn purple?

Quality ceramic films from 3M, Llumar, or Suntek are colorfast for life. Cheap films use organic dyes that oxidize and turn purple in 2โ€“4 years.
