Tail light vinyl wrap

Taillight Wrap & Smoke

Custom vinyl wrapping over your tail lights β€” smoke, gloss black, or matte. Reversible, sealed edges, never sprayed. From $149 a pair.

Spray-on taillight tint looks bad after one summer, fogs, and is illegal in California. We wrap your tail lights with premium automotive transparent smoke vinyl β€” same material 3M uses for full car wraps. Cut precisely to the lens, heat-formed for curves, edge-sealed. Looks factory, fully reversible, and won't yellow.

Wrap options

  • Light smoke β€” Subtle, factory-look darkening (~30% reduction). California-legal feel.
  • Medium smoke β€” Most popular for daily drivers. Aggressive look, lights still pass at night.
  • Dark / charcoal smoke β€” Show-only / private property. Heavy reduction.
  • Gloss black opaque β€” Full blackout (not legal β€” show / track only).
  • Color change β€” Redβ†’smoked, redβ†’gloss black, redβ†’amber, custom colors.

Why wrap vs spray

  • No chemicals on the lens β€” preserves OEM clarity underneath
  • UV-stable β€” doesn't yellow, peel, or crack
  • Fully removable with heat β€” no residue
  • Edge-sealed against car wash and weather
  • 5-year warranty

Pairs well with our headlight tint for a fully balanced front-to-rear look.

Pricing: Tail light pair: $149. With 3rd brake light: $189. Tails + headlights bundle: $249. Full lighting wrap (tails + heads + 3rd brake + reverse): $329.

Common questions

Is taillight wrap legal in California?

Light and medium smoke generally pass β€” lights remain visible. Dark smoke and gloss-black opaque are show-only / private property. We'll talk through legality before installing.

Will it damage my tail light lens?

No. Vinyl peels cleanly with heat β€” no adhesive residue, no scratches, no haze on the OEM lens. Stock condition restorable any time.

How long does it last?

5–7 years exterior. We use 8-year-rated 3M / Avery films and edge-seal for car wash durability.

Will it pass safety inspection?

Light smoke yes. Medium can fail visual inspection on stricter inspections. Anything darker β€” show only.

Color change vs tint film β€” what's the difference?

Tint film goes inside the lens (rare, complicated). Wrap goes on the outside surface β€” same look, way less labor, fully reversible.
